Mozart, Sonata for two pianos K-448

Sonata for Two Pianos in D major (Mozart)

The Sonata for Two Pianos in D major, K. 448 is a piano work composed in 1781 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, at 25 years of age. It is written in strict sonata-allegro form, with three movements. The sonata was composed for a performance he would give with fellow pianist Josephine von Aurnhammer.[1] Mozart composed this in the galant style, with interlocking melodies and simultaneous cadences. This is one of his only formal compositions written exclusively for two pianos. This sonata was also used in the scientific study that tested the theory of the Mozart Effect, suggesting that classical music increases brain activity more positively than other kinds of music.

''I'm gonna sit right down and write...'' - B Manilow - USA

''I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter''

I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom
I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna simle and say I hope you're feeling better
And close with love the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make beleive it came from you
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom
I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna simle and say I hope you're feeling better
And close with love the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter

''Close to you'' (Carpenters)
http://letras.terra.com/barry-manilow/1437663/

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you
Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you
On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon-dust
In your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue
That is why all the guys in town
Follow you all around
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you
On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon-dust
In your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue
That is why all the guys in town
Follow you all around
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you
(Ah, aahh, aahh) Wanna be close to you
(Ah, aahh, aahh) Wanna be close to you

All I Have to Do is Dream

Barry Manilow

Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
When I want you in my arms
When I want you and all your charms
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
When I feel blue in the night
And I need you to hold me tight
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam
I can make you mine, taste your lips of wine
Anytime night or day
Only trouble is, gee whiz I'm dreamin' my life away
I need you so that I could die
I love you so and that is why
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam
I can make you mine, taste your lips of wine
Anytime night or day
Only trouble is, gee whiz I'm dreamin' my life away

1943 - 2001 * Sir George Harrison * UK (LiverpoolReino Unido25 de febrero de 1943 – Los ÁngelesEstados Unidos29 de noviembre de 2001)

They were the greatest and most influential act of the rock era and introduced more innovations into popular music than any other rock band of the 20th century. Some said it couldn’t really be happening, that it was just publicity. The others said, they couldn’t last more than a month or two, that nobody could hang on to that kind of fame. The Beatles, of course, proved them wrong.
The “Fab Four” from Liverpool, England energized the lives of virtually all who heard them. Their arrival triggered the musical revolution of the Sixties, introducing a modern sound and viewpoint that parted ways with the world of the previous decade. They helped confer self-identity upon a youthful, music-based culture that flexed its muscle in myriad ways – not just as music consumers but also as a force for political expression, social commentary and contemporary lifestyles.
They grabbed a hold of the international mass consciousness in 1964 and never let go for the next six years, always staying ahead of the pack in terms of creativity but never losing their ability to communicate their  increasingly sophisticated ideas to a mass audience. They synthesized all that was good about early rock & roll, and changed it into something original and even more exciting. They established the prototype for the self-contained rock group that wrote and performed its own material.
Dhani Harrison (born 1 August 1978) is an English musician
and the son of the Beatles lead guitarist George Harrison
Wherever they went, they brought Beatlemania with them. They couldn’t help it; it was a form of real love. George would say many years later that the world used them as an excuse to go mad and then blamed it on the Beatles, but there is a parallel theory, that it was time for the world to go that sort of mad.
One of the most talented...
Of the four members of the world’s most famous band, the Beatles guitarist, George Harrison made the least effort at being a public figure, but despite this fact, the quiet Beatle earned a reputation as one of the most talented and influential individuals born to rock & roll.
George showed his independent nature at an early age, defying his school’s age-old dress code by wearing jeans and growing long hair. George was 12 or 13, when he heard Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” playing from a nearby house and was hooked, from that point on, the former good student lost interest in school. He sat at the back of the class and tried drawing guitars in his schoolbooks. At age 13 his mother bought him his first guitar.
In 1956, 14 year old Harrison joined the Quarrymen – which included John Lennon and Paul McCartney. When they changed their name to the Beatles in 1960, he was only 17 – the youngest of the Fab Four. (Read more)

I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter.... Lyrics:

I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words, oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom
I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say
"I hope you're feeling better"
And close "with love" the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you

SOLO

I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came from you
I'm gonna write words, oh so sweet
They're gonna knock me off my feet
A lot of kisses on the bottom, mmm
I'll be glad I got 'em
I'm gonna smile and say
"I hope you're feeling better"
And close "with love" the way you do
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
And make believe it came, came from you
And make believe it came from you

All I have to do is... Gee Whiz...!

''All I have to do is... GEE WHIZ''
WE ARE EXPLORING TODAY...
GEE WHIZ... !

Meaning

An interjection or exclamation of surprise.

Origin

This little term derived in the USA as a euphemistic shorthand for Jesus; in other words it is a minced oath
That original meaning is largely forgotten by those who use it now, who are in any account fewer than before,
as it is now sounds rather old-fashioned. The further shortening of simple gee is still widely used in the USA,
although neither version was ever common elsewhere. The first record of it appearing in print is from Cody
and Arlington's Life on the Border, 1876:
"Gee-wees!...I'll bet one hundred dollars on that hand!"

''Yesterday'' * Russian language

English

Yesterday

Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Suddenly
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly
Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday
Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday
Yesterday
Love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
